Am I sensing being badly judged by non-step family parents
I am a stepmother to a 12 girl and I struggling with my new situation. I have talked to some friends who are not step parents and I feel they are really judging me in a negative manner.. Like ‘her father has been her main parent and poor thing’.

I feel I am being told ‘think of the poor step child’ not yourself. Yet she is not on the bathroom floor crying often because her BM has left again and we have to pick up the load.

I am not saying the child is bad but I am really struggling and often feel like I am a visitor in my own home, whilst my DH and SD just go on as per normal.

Anyway I have learnt now not to say anything to non step parents as I fear negative judgement.

Does anybody else feel this way or am I just super sensitive?
